Ill. Installation Procedures

1. Prepare the system

Put this system on the right side of the printer, tidy up ink flow tubes (3-1-1), pull out all air plug and replace them with air filter with bigger side downward (keep air plug for the next use) (3-1-2). Move tube valve to close position (3-1-3), if you do not close this valve, ink maybe flow back, leak, or mis-color.

2. Install chips

Please install the 8BK,8C,8M,8Y chips according the following: use the knife to cut the mold tip off on the original cartridges, take the original chips out carefully, and install them on the system cartridge, use molding tool to fix the chips. Please install 5BK chips as following: take the original 5BK chips off, cut the molding tip off system 5BK chips , add double-sticker on 5BK.

3. Install the CISS cartridges

Turn the printer on, open it’s cover, cartridge holder will move to the "cartridge change" position, plug the power source off (3-3-1), take the original cartridge off.Take cartridge red color according to the arrow head (3-3-2). Move cartridge holder to the cartridge-changing place and check whether Ink tube will fall on the paper board. Generally, we have adjusted ink tube to the right size before shipment (lf it is too long or too short, please double check before printing (3-5-3)).

6. Adjust the ink tube length

If step 4 is ok, then there is no need to go through this step. If the tube length is too short then lengthen it (3-6-1, 3-6-2), if too long then shorten (3-6-3). If the tube falls down, you need adjust the angle of sticker to prevent falling.

7. Fix ink tube

Tear the cover of the sponge sticker off, and stick it at the position (3-7-1) or (3-7-2). When you close the printer up-cover, the cover button should be closed. Please, do not let the tube twist too much; otherwise, it will damage the free flow of the ink.

After this step, the computer can't show the real cartridge ink volume, the indicator shows empty. You do need redo this step for many times till all ink volume shows empty. Remark: The printer can't show the real cartridge ink volume and computer show it as empty, this is normal case, you just need to guarantee that there is ink in the cartridge, you can go on printing as normal.
